# How to configure multiline and capitalized item names

Product-entry formatting can make register descriptions easier to read and more consistent.

## Allow multiline item entry

1. Open **Settings > Register**.
2. Enable **Multi-Line** when sale descriptions need more than one line.
3. Save the settings.

## Capitalize item names automatically

1. Enable **Capitalize Item Names**.
2. Save the settings.

Automatic capitalization helps keep item descriptions visually consistent. Review abbreviations, model numbers, and brand styling when exact capitalization matters.
