# How to change the register cart position

Supported touch-register layouts can place the cart on the left or right side of the screen.

## Change the cart position

1. Open **Settings > Register**.
2. Find **Cart Position**.
3. Select **Left** or **Right**.
4. Save the Register settings.

Choose the side that is most comfortable for the device placement and the employee’s normal checkout motion. This option appears only on supported touch-oriented register layouts.
