When to Use Walk-In Customer

Leave the default Walk-In Customer selected when the shopper does not want to provide information and your store does not require a customer for that transaction.

A walk-in sale is fast, but it is not connected to an individual customer’s history, notes, loyalty activity, or future lookup. Select a real customer for transactions that may need warranty lookup, account history, targeted service, or easier receipt retrieval.
