# Light Mode vs. Dark Mode

RepairNest POS supports both light and dark appearance modes.

- **Light mode** uses a bright background and is often preferred in well-lit environments.
- **Dark mode** uses darker surfaces and may feel more comfortable to employees working in low-light conditions or who prefer reduced screen brightness.

The choice does not change the employee’s permissions, data, or available modules. It changes how the interface is presented.
